Hi guys!

I start seeing patients next week but the thing is that I don't know anyone who can be my patient!!! The main problem is that I'm one of two people in my class that's from out-of-state, and I have no friends and family that can come to PA to sit in for me. Any ideas on how to recruit patients? I just need two patients, and I already went to talk to people in dorms, the school cafeteria, the library, administration offices, I even went to all public places that was suggested in these posts! I've been to the marts, I've posted fliers in gyms, libraries, restaurants, but I am having trouble finding two more people. The director clearly told me that I don't move up to my 2nd year if I can't find two people. And I did try asking my fellow classmates but I can't seem to get 2 people. How did you guys recruit your patients? Any creative and/or helpful ideas?

Oh, and if you're in PA and live in Philly, I can pay for your services if you can be my patient.  Smiley I need the luck and prayers. Thanks!

Finding patients has always been a problem.  We go to women's shelters and drug rehab centers that allow day trips.  There are some that have buses or vans that will transport them.  There are residential homes that have disabled persons all living together under the supervision of a caregiver.  Do you have any strawberry fields or migrant workers nearby?  Homeless shelters are usually very accommodating.  Going to school PTA meetings at Title I schools has proven somewhat productive.  Do you have a flea market that you could pass out flyers?  We also have done call-ins on a local talk show.  There is a free newspaper that we will put ads in.

Hope this helps a little.
